In the village during the month of July.

After the wettest June on record, July went on in the same pattern. By the middle of the month, it had rained every day except 07.07.07. It was not weather conducive to tours with a camera. Nevertheless, a few July pictures have appeared.

Above: 5th of July, and solid fuel fires were still the order of the day.

8 July: You scratch my back . . .

8 July: One modest rose that did not bloom unseen.

8 July: Bright colour on a dull day.

8 July: Oh well, it must be good for the garden.

11 July: Never mind the rain, smile at the camera.

11 July: The rain back in the jungle wasn't this cold.

13 July: Come rain or come shine, the road to the tops beckons upwards.

All the farmers are at least three weeks behind due to the rain.

Photographer's comment: "To take pics of MYC now would generate bottled water companies to be setting up bottling plants in MYC. I may have a look at that".

Ri-i-ight. 3b. gigalitres being ordered by Australia by next Wednesday. Can you cope?

Ah! This is the plant, I presume? (14 July)

Saturday afternoon, 14 July, and what's this? Sunshine? Quick, come out round the village for a look-see!

From the US to MYC on two wheels?

More steps! Up to Mill Bank.

Looks like more work with the wire brush to reveal what looks like the date 1792.

And so ended the 18th day of July, 2007

And with the wettest July ever, was it like this all month?

No, see below.

On the 27th the insects came out for a jaunt.

And the next day everyone was out with the butterflies.

On the 30th it was all hands on deck to take advantage of the weather.

Even the pilot had fair weather.

At last! It's the last day of the month and we finally get a taste of what July should be all about!
